Republican nihilist House member, a couple of days ago:
“We’re not going to be disrespected,” conservative Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., [told the Washington Examiner]. “We have to get something out of this. And I don’t know what that even is.”
2. Which side’s approach to averting the sequester, and solving the deficit, (do I) actually agree with? I honestly don’t have a strong opinion. Like most independent voters, I just want it fixed. I want my leaders to lead.
Oh, I know these two quotes are circumstantially different, but isn’t the substantive sentiment behind them pretty much the same? “I don’t know or care about the policy or whatever is happening to the country or the people in it; I just like the stuff that I like and try not to think about the rest. Yeah yeah, blah blah, just give me my Win/Leadership, whatever that might be.” It’s probably par for the course for the Nihilist Caucus in the House, sadly, but our pundit (who is still at it, in case you were wondering) really ought to be doing his job better.
