Hajj and Yom Kippur greetings

Today is a rare convergence of two of the holiest events of the Jewish and Muslim years, with the Hajj beginning in Mecca and Yom Kippur starting at sundown. Hajj Mubarak to my Muslim readers, and to my Jewish readers, Tzom Kal.

For those who would like to know more about the Hajj, here’s something I wrote about it a couple of years ago. If your curiosity extends to other Islamic pilgrimages, I’ve also written about those.

Hey, thanks for reading! If you come here often, and you like what I do, would you please consider contributing something (sorry, that page is a work in progress) to keeping this place running and me out of debtor’s prison? Thank you!
